About North Texas Giving Day:
North Texas Giving Day is an online giving event that provides nonprofits the opportunity to gain exposure to — and start relationships with — new donors, and for people in North Texas to come together to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits.
In just five years, North Texas Giving Day has pumped more than $60 million into the North Texas community. In 2013, more than 75,000 gifts totaling $25.2 million, benefiting more than 1,350 nonprofits.

Communities Foundation of Texas, the org behind North Texas Giving Day, will provide monetary prizes to nonprofits for the following:
- All Participants – Top 2 nonprofits in Small category (budget under $250,000): Awarded to the top 2 nonprofits with the most unique donors
- NEW NTGD Nonprofit Participants (That’s US!) – Top 2 nonprofits in Small category (budget under $250,000): Awarded to 2 nonprofits with the most unique donor
- Golden Ticket: Golden tickets are drawn every hour from the list of nonprofits who received donations during that hour: $1,000/hour
- Random Prize – 1,929th donation: A prize to the organization receiving the 1,929th donation in honor of the year The Dallas Foundation was established
- Random Prize – 2,014th donation: A prize to the organization receiving the 2,014th donation
- Most Re-Tweets – A $500 prize will be awarded to the nonprofit that, using hashtag #NTXGivingDay, is able to secure the most re-tweets on a single tweet.
