BEST SELF

A   Gender-in-Media-Graphic EVENT

Presented in partnership with:
Embrey Family Foundation and Nancy Ann Hunt

February 28, 2015 | Union Station

Registration opens January 2015!!

Girls ages 13-17 are invited to share a memorable day with their BFFs and participate in leadership sessions with amazing experts. Moms and educators, we have something for you too! All attendees will receive free lunch, swag bags, a chance at great raffle prizes and much more!

BEST SELF will help build future leaders by empowering girls to be their best selves through programs that will teach them about themselves, their friendships and healthy approaches to conflict. Gender in Media brings together educators, parents and youth to challenge stereotypes, and find ways to ensure that women and girls are empowered to pursue their dreams, use their voice, and mentor one another as they pursue gender equality in business, government and society.

Parents and educators are also invited to participate in a session that will teach them how to navigate through difficult situations and how to support young girls learning about decision-making and their emotional well-being so they grow into great individuals, supporters and leaders.
