Trilina Mai is an artist and undergraduate student at Long Beach State University in Southern California, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Animation. She is a member of the Society of Student Illustrators and Animators (SOSIA) and has participated in their annual 24 Hour Animation Contest. Her numerous artistic achievements include earning the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) Certificate, Silver Key Award for Scholastic Art and Writing, the First Place award at the Cypress Youth Juried Art, and visual Arts Award for the Friends of Cypress Cultural Arts (F.O.C.C.A.). Her student animation film was a finalist in the 2015 SoCal Student Film Festival, and “Best Animated Picture” at the 2015 Cypress College Film Festival. Alongside being a successful student, Trilina is a freelance artist and takes commissions on her free time on of her most prominent public commissions was the design of the logo and semi-trailer wrap for the cypress High School Marching Band preceding their appearance in the 2015 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. Trilina was a past ATG Artistic Scholarship Finalist and joins the Light of Day team as an animator.
